Interested in partnering with Murdoch University to offer extra support to your year 12 students? Learn more about our FlexiTrack High and TLC Learning for Tomorrow programs, which provide alternative entry pathways to university for Western Australian secondary students.
FlexiTrack High
We know that not every student flourishes in the traditional ATAR structure. That’s why we created FlexiTrack High, so every student can ignite their brightness.
Our award-winning university preparation program is designed for students who are motivated but may not be on track to thrive in Year 12. FlexiTrack High is endorsed by SCSA for 4 WACE points. When successfully completed, those students will achieve an alternative entry to university – equivalent to a 70 ATAR.
FlexiTrack High doesn’t just improve academic performance – it transforms your students.
Why choose FlexiTrack High?
FlexiTrack High is a unique collaboration where Murdoch University works closely with schools to bridge the gap between secondary and tertiary study.
We provide all the required educational materials, resources, and program-specific training for staff. Students will also have one of our tutors available online for added guidance and support.
How it works
The program runs throughout the first three terms of Year 12 and can be offered in one of two models, depending on your school’s needs:
- Mode 1 - Metro blended mode: Digital resources and four school-timetabled classes per week led by a teacher within the school.
- Mode 2 - Regional small schools' mode: Runs entirely online for students and includes weekly check-ins with a Murdoch tutor.

TLC Learning for Tomorrow
Our established TLC program provides an exciting alternative pathway to University for Year 12 secondary school students across three school terms.
TLC is focused on offering opportunities to students from partner schools in W.A., where educational disadvantage may be present, providing a contiguous secondary school conduit to undergraduate study at Murdoch University for non-ATAR students.
Why choose TLC Learning for Tomorrow?
The personal contact of TLC is one of the program's strengths. This relationship-based style of engagement builds on the collaborative principles of mentoring, where important relationships are created and fostered between teachers and learners. The individualised nature of the program provides intimate growth opportunities for reluctant students and timid learners.
The TLC team collaborates with school staff and support services, parents, and students to provide a holistic educational environment. The comprehensive support provided by TLC ensures that students and their families receive guidance throughout their entire University journey, from initial aspirations to successful graduation at Murdoch Uni.
How it works
Classes run after school at the Rockingham, Mandurah, and Murdoch campuses, one day per week for 2 hours, with an additional 5 hours per week of independent study required. TLC is SCSA endorsed for 1 WACE point.
Students who successfully complete TLC receive an alternative entry to university-equivalent to a 70 ATAR.
