This scholarship has been set up to support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students enrolled in the Veterinary BSc, DVM Waardong program.

Eligibility

To apply for this scholarship you must:

  • be an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander student in the Waardong program
  • be enrolled full-time (at least 9 credit points per semester) at Murdoch in the Veterinary BSc, DVM Program (unless credit exemptions apply)
  • be in the 2nd, 3rd, 4th or 5th year of the BSc, DVM
  • demonstrate high academic achievement
  • be experiencing personal and/or financial hardship

Complete the online application form below and attach the required documents by the closing date.

This scholarship opens for applications through this Online Application Form on 5 October 2025. You will need your Murdoch Student ID to access this form.

Required Documents

This scholarship requires you to provide:

  • completed application form
  • a personal statement of up to 500 words maximum
  • evidence of personal and/or financial hardship (e.g. payslips, Tax Notice of Assessment or Centrelink Income Statement)
  • two character references - one academic reference and one character reference.

Payment Method

Payments will be made directly into your nominated bank account in the following instalments:

  • $2,000 in week 7 or 8 of the semester you are awarded
  • $2,000 in week 7 or 8 of the consecutive second semester

All payments are subject to your ongoing acceptance and compliance with the terms and conditions of the award.
