Research initiative: Musculoskeletal health

Musculoskeletal pain is the world’s leading cause of disability, we strive to understand better health to avoid this outcome. We are driven to help people understand and manage musculoskeletal conditions better.

One research areas focus on the development and evolution of musculoskeletal pain and injuries. This includes understanding patterns of spine pain and shoulder pain over time, what might trigger episodes of spine pain, and how alterations in cervical curvatures might relate to neck pain and balance control.

Interventions for musculoskeletal pain and injuries are also of interest – including the impact of exercise interventions on sports injury risk, and the effect of spinal manipulation on symptoms and function.
