We are revolutionising healthcare practice across Australia through our research to assess and delivery training provided to allied healthcare providers.
Key areas of focus include studies of rural clinical placement and cultural competence, to establish the impact of these programs on students’ professional attributes and communication skills, supporting their inclusion in the curriculum. MS Australia funded postgraduate training programs to enhance allied health care providers, doctors and nurses' confidence and skills to promote physical activity to their patients.
Other research has aimed to enhance the education we provide by exploring students' development of knowledge and skills, and assessment practices and outcomes.
The video below is a glimpse of our rural placement educational experience, which we continue to research regarding the benefits of these educational experiences on students and the community.
